posted a challenge to scrap a page about an old friend. So, I did. I could not do my housework this morning until I got this on paper...
It is about my best friend and hero, Chrissy. We have been friends for 13 or so years.
Journaling reads " I'll never forget the first time I saw her. 6th grade. Mr. Woody's science class. She was a Walker I was a Ward. She sat right in front of me. First day of school. We both just moved to CO. Didn't know her, but we wore the same polka dotted over-alls. Mine pink, hers blue. Ughhh... I hated her! How embarassing! .... till I talked to her. She quickly became my best friend. (on photo) 1996: preacher's dauther, Jr. in high school, skater chick, lover of hip hop, carefree, girl who rocked converse, funny, understood me, had old cars, sister to 5, Colorado. coolest girl ever. She rocks! Now: she is so much more than a friend. She is a wife, a mom, a social worker, a Kansan, a sister, an aunt and my hero! We used to laugh because I always referred to her as "My best friend, Chrissy." This dare rocked.....
